Wearing Anarkalis is a vibe.

It’s a little heavy.

It's a little heavier than a maxidress. Maybe Maxidress meets ethnic wear. Yes, when ethnicwear married a maxidress. It gave birth to the Anarkali.

This is the year.

We have to be heavy (Oops not in terms of weight of course) rather in terms of personality. We want to be fearsome. We want to be fantastical.

It’s the beginning of the year and this first month is the month of planning. We have a vision board. We have achieved everything- a beautiful sensory experience and even look good in the process. Last year, I was wearing a kurta, that was my vibe. More and more kurtas. I was exploring my feminine side keeping in touch with our tradition and culture. Going to the temple, going for breakfast with your lover, an evening walk on the beach wearing a kurta, watching the sunset. A South Indian goddess. The ideal daughter-in-law. Deepa Padukone before she became cool in Yeh Jawani Hei Diwani. Kurta bought that out of me.

A SNEAK PEAK into the Top 5 Kurtas of 2025.

Pay attention girls

Okay, let’s it’s 2025 and let’s talk about the Anarkali I’m going to wear this season. When you see these images- I want you to imagine running your hands through the fabric of these Anarkali’s. Develop a familiarity with the flow, the liquidity of the silhouette, that’s when you really start imagining yourself in one of these gorgeous Anarkali I’m going to focus on.

IT’S AN ANARKALI FRENZY- TOP PICKS!

OFF White Yoke Anarkali

First up, It’s the OFF White Yoke Anarkali.

Made with 100% cotton. I have a friend’s son's baptism and I need to wear something. But since we are just coming out of the holiday season, I have put on some vacation calories. In order to hide those extra kilos, I need an Anarkali outfit to heighten my flattering features. I need something that will flow along the curves. Off White Yoke Anarkali- why? I chose white because- its elegant and it's got the festive feeling. Off-white and Ivory has always been synonymous with Kerala trends and anarkalis in that colour will be different.

As Summer is fast approaching my next pick would be this Yellow Anarkali!

  • Banana Yellow Anarkali- has the potential to be the only one in your wardrobe.

  • Style with a dupatta to make an impact.

The main event for this year- The Ruby Red Anarakali

The Ruby Red Anarakali

Okay, it’s well established that we love cotton, we love the simplicity and ease of cotton. But we also love silk. Silk is sexy. Silk is powerful. Silk may seem delicate in texture but the aura is different. The colour needs to be powerful as well. Let’s go for red. A red silk anarakali- killer. Girls, I’m telling you, in order to make you the talk of the party, in order to get new follow requests on instagram, in order to easily make your outfit the conversation opener- I’m going for this ruby red anarkali with gold zari embroidery. The embroidery work is so rich that I would only wear my earrings.

So just a substitute, I have kept one more on my list. It’s not a substitute because the other anarkalis are better- it's a substitute because this is last season's colour. This mocha-coloured hand embroidered Anarkali was people's favourite from a bygone season but you know how it is with some outfits and some colours, their vibes are always lingering even past their expiry date.

This is where the brown anarkali with embroidered yolk enters the chat.

Handmade and handcrafted with love, hand embroidered with care, this mocha brown anarkali is perfect to showcase a premium persona.

So whether you have to attend a birthday party, whether it’s a wedding, a sangeet or a high tea, we have got you covered. Each colour, each silhouette is designed to exude quiet elegance, the one where you are not trying too hard, because there is no necessity, automatically, the outfit- the Anarkali brings it out for you.

Okay girls. This is the update so far. I’m going to open this year with these anarakalis’ designed to kill. I’m taking the step forward in this direction. You are welcome to follow me.
