How to care for cotton? | Love your Clothes.
Cotton fabric is made from natural plant fibres and is widely used in clothes. Cotton clothes are
comfortable, breathable, and durable. Cotton blends are typically ready to wear right out of the
wash, 100% cotton clothes need a bit more care to keep them looking their best for years.
How to prevent shrinking of Cotton Garments?
To prevent shrinkage and wrinkling, use cold water to wash 100% cotton in a gentle cycle.
And let the clothes dry naturally by hanging them on a clothing line outside (gentle sun) or
lay them down on a towel in the laundry room.
Why dry clean is recommended?
Hot water is much more efficient than warm water to remove the last bits of unattached dye.
Warm or hot water can melt fibres and dyes and also damage fabrics especially with modern
laundry detergents. Wash dyed garments with cold water. A few changes in your washer
settings can just do the trick for you.
Never handwash Dyed Garments. With modern strong detergents it can affect the fibres and
the dyed colour. So, we suggest ONLY DRY CLEAN.
How to take care of your whites?
Wash in cold (30°C or below) water, whether using a washing machine or by hand. Give
garments a gentle stretch when they come out of the wash to get them back into shape.
Always air dry: dry clothes flat and out in the sun.
